A few weeks earlier, a concerned citizen had reported seeing a horse standing alone near their home. When Animal Services officers arrived, they found a handsome young horse in excellent condition, wearing a saddle and bridle, all tacked up and ready to go. The only thing missing was his rider.
Logan was taken to the local shelter while officers worked to locate his owner. After the required holding period passed without anyone coming forward, he was declared abandoned. One of the officers gave him the name Logan and arranged for him to be examined by a veterinarian.

The exam confirmed what everyone could see: Logan was in excellent health and condition and had clearly been well cared for. It was hard to understand how someone who had taken such wonderful care of their horse could simply not come looking for him. Logan was even wearing expensive tack, meaning his owner had lost much more than just their horse.

Whatever the circumstances may have been, Redwings was ready to give Logan the safe and loving home he needed.

Since arriving at Redwings, Logan’s personality has really begun to shine. He is a sweet, kind soul who is eager to please and enjoys spending time with people. He has since been castrated and has recently begun work in our retraining program.

We are excited to see what the future holds for this special young horse. Logan has already shown us what a wonderful partner he can be, and we look forward to helping him find the forever home he deserves.
