Bourbon is a handsome Florida-bred gelding that came to Redwings from the CARMA placement program.  Bourbon had a relatively short racing career, with 2 seconds in 5 starts.  In April of 2018, Bourbon fractured his right front sesamoid coming out of a race.  He completed four months of stall rest and walking before being turned out in a community pasture in November of 2018.  In late December, Bourbon was lightly restarted under saddle in a round pen.
Bourbon is very friendly and eager to please.  He has a quiet and kind demeanor and gets along very well in the community pasture.  Bourbon is suitable for many disciplines, including lower-level hunter, dressage, trail, and pleasure riding.
