Buck, Tray, and Cowboy were all born and raised in Wyoming. Buck and Tray were ranch horses, and Cowboy was a show horse in his younger years. Their owner fell on hard times and needed to place the horses in new homes, so he arranged to send them to his sister in Southern California. The three horses lived happily in Southern California with their new owner's other two horses for many years and were loved and very well cared for. Then their new owner became ill and was diagnosed with cancer. With little time left, their owner, with the help of her two children, began working quickly to find a safe place for the horses after her passing. Months went by, and they were not able to find a placement for the horses, and then they reached out to Redwings. Unfortunately, their owner passed away before getting the good news that Redwings would be able to take all three horses.
