Duquesa was seized in the summer of 2022 in Kings County. She was living in horrible conditions and was emaciated. She also had a halter embedded in her jaw. This happens when halters are put on too tight and left on for too long, causing the skin to grow around the halter. A vet had to cut the halter to remove it from her head, leaving large open and infected wounds on her jaw. As if that wasn't bad enough Duquesa was also suffering from a urinary tract infection and a severe case of rain rot.
Duquesa has a wonderful and gentle temperament and has quickly become a favorite at Redwings.
