Arnie was born at a breeding farm in Southern California. His registered name is Carnegie, and his sire is a well-known Grand Prix stallion named Chanson de Kabaret. Arnie was born with clubbed front hooves and had a significant rotation of the coffin bone in both hooves. When Arnie was young, he sustained a substantial injury to his right hock that left him with bony chips in the joint. This injury, combined with the rotation of his coffin bones, left Arnie lame and unrideable.
Arnie’s trainer contacted Redwings to try and find him a permanent home. Arnie was at Redwings briefly before going to a loving adoptive home where he lives with two other horses from Redwings.
