Midnight is the cutest little 36-inch tall miniature horse. Midnight was rescued from an auction in Texas in November of 2021. She was scheduled to ship to Mexico in just days when another rescue was able to save her at the last minute. Like most of the horses we rescue from auctions, we know nothing about her past or why she ended up at the auction that day. What we do know is that poor little Midnight was petrified at the auction. She was not tame at all and completely feral, with horribly overgrown hooves that curled up and made it almost impossible for her to walk. She arrived at the partner rescue in rough shape, suffering from shipping fever and scared to death of people. The partner rescued worked to slowly gain her confidence in people and was able to work with a vet and farrier to correct her hooves. Today Midnight is still shy and can be hard to catch, but we know with time and patience, she will come around and be as friendly as our other ponies at Redwings. Midnight will only be available as a companion pony.
