Rhett was born on May 1, 2004. His mother, Scarlett, was a former Premarin mare from Canada who came to Redwings in foal with another mare named Tara. Tara and Scarlett both gave birth to healthy colts who were raised together. Rhett was an extremely outgoing foal whose personality helped his mother become more comfortable around people. Rhett remained with his mother until it was time to wean him. Once weaned, Rhett was adopted by a veterinarian in Monterey County, where he lives today. He is a fabulous trail horse and is used for jumping too.
