Patty is a sweet and gentle Thoroughbred mare. Patty raced 8 times in her career, placing 4 times. Patty is sired by Lucky Pulpit, making her a half-sister to California Chrome who won the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and many other races in 2014. We don't know much about Patty's life after racing, or why she ended up in an auction in Southern California, but when she was discovered by our partner rescue it was obvious that she needed our help. Patty had horribly overgrown hooves and was very lame on both front legs. We have been able to correct Patty's overgrown hooves but due to some arthritic changes in her knees she will not be suitable for riding any longer. She has a wonderful disposition and loves people and other horses. She is available as a companion.
